The discovery of A00 really reveals the deep confusion among geneticists when it comes to the evolution of modern humans.
The physical and cultural appearance of A00 (the so called "Adam", lol) had absolutely nothing to do with modern humans whatsoever
A00 emerged at a time long before modern humans were around. And don't let yourself be fooled by the completely meaningless term 'anatomically modern human'. It has neither physical nor cultural relevance and is an old relict from a paradigm that made a big number of cranial and skeletal remains that didn't fit categories such as, for example, Homo erectus and Homo neanderthalensis (and even this is disputed).Only after having evolved in Asia did modern humans go to Africa.
The scientific study/understanding of human genetics changes all the time and sometimes in a manner that clearly shows how fragile the territory still is, not the least because of all prejudices and expectations distorting the visibility.
However, the discovery of A00 doesn't alter Klevius 'Out of Africa as pygmies and back as global mongoloids' the slightest. Since the 1992 book Demand for Resources (see e.g. chapter Khoi, San and Bantu) the basic view has remained.
However, the two most important pieces in the evolutionary puzzle of humans are both in Asia, i.e. Floresiensis and Denisovan.
Small bipedal apes with a better than average packed brain mingled with bigger but dumber cousins until their genes reached Siberia where they met really big skulled but dumb people from western Eurasia. The new creation was a success (compare e.g. the Denisova bracelet etc) and begun spreading downwards. To the east they mixed and became San type mongoloids and in the west they mixed with Neanderthals and southern Homos hence diluting mongoloid traits.
This development created a variety of morphology in northern Eurasia and can be exemplified, for example, with the different Sami people who reportedly (as late as the 19th century) varied from tall brown skinned and brown eyed to short light skinned and gray eyed and with all kinds of constitution.
